These beautiful, free-standing, whimsical stained glass Lighthouses are carefully created from a custom pattern. Each one we sell is a hand-crafted original by Tom Kenney.

The distinctiveness starts with exclusive selection of Spectrum Glass™ and other quality construction materials. The glass used in the body of the tower is more reflective than regular glass: The tower is Hammered Iridized (Mother-of-Pearl) glass. The custom pattern makes each one solid and free-standing with a complimentary two-tone coloration.

These lighthouses are expertly crafted, with all soldered seams attractively fused with a copper foil that gives the whole piece character and luminosity. "Glass stones" are used to give the impression of a rocky bluff.

These lighthouses are whimsical and idealized, so they do not represent any one lighthouse. Each one is hand-crafted and unique in expression — art intended to give you the impression of lighthouse. Light is the main idea associated with one's image of a lighthouse, so the key to making this art special is reflection. With the Iridized Glass, the artist was able to create a reflection you can almost feel. Whether exposed to sunlight or lit from inside at night, the piece speaks of warm light.
